Days 2&3 (Friday 8 & Saturday 9 December) are held at the University of Sydney.

Day 3 has a special focus on education. Single day tickets are available for this day only.

Please choose one of these three ticket options:

  • Unwaged cost: $165 conference + $44 ANZSA membership = $209
  • Saturday day ticket cost: $77

This conference is designed as an in-person event. However, if this presents access difficulties for you, we will work with you to provide remote options for some sessions. To request remote access, please contact liam.semler@sydney.edu.au before registering, to ensure that we can accommodate the elements that are important to you.

Registration fees are GST inclusive.

The unwaged option is for students, unemployed, and casually employed (including sessional contract academics).

For participants from Australia and New Zealand, membership of ANZSA is compulsory and is folded in automatically to a single payment.

For scholars not resident in Australia and New Zealand, ANZSA membership is optional. Please contact liam.semler@sydney.edu.au if you wish to register without the membership fee.

Once you have registered we will send you details of recommended accommodation, transport and other city information, additional related events, including performances, and the conference dinner, which will be held on the Friday.

If you have not yet submitted your abstract, there is still time to be considered. Please send your paper or workshop title and abstract, along with a brief biography, to liam.semler@sydney.edu.au or huw.griffiths@sydney.edu.au by no later than Friday 6 October.

For postgraduate students:

Travel support bursaries: ANZSA offers some financial support to help postgraduate students travel to the conference. Please email an expression of interest to anna.kamaralli@sydney.edu.au, and indicate where you are travelling from.

Lloyd Davis Prize: Awarded to the best graduate essay submitted for inclusion on the program. Full details here. The prize is a cheque for AU$500 and includes mentoring support towards peer-reviewed publication of the paper. You are eligible to enter if:
